It’s time to go hiking!

To be honest, we were low key not feeling it because when we looked at the schedule it said 1:30 to 5:00pm so that meant we had to be out there for like 4 hours which we were not trying to do because who really got all that time to be out in that hot sun?

US!!! Because this was exactly what we signed up for!

Pond

Our destination was a pond that was really interesting. It took about 10 minutes to walk there, so it was not bad. The pond was full of live animals like fish and tadpoles. We were able to catch some to take a closer look at.

Tadpole

We also bonded here during the little trip to the pond. It was really nice to bond with campers and all the counselors during this time! You know, they’re like grown-ups, so it’s good to have a bond with them.

Eventually, we headed back which was actually more difficult because we were walking uphill on the way back. Fortunately, we made it back to the cabins, just a little tired, but not tired enough to change and get ready for the pool!

When we got to the pool we met the lifeguards, and they gave us some safety tips, because campers can get a little wild. Only because they’re kids, y’know?

The kids were clearly having fun and cooling down from being in the sun for hours. Everyone really enjoyed just playing with the toys and equipment that the pool staff offered like goggles, footballs, etc.

Aside from all the pool stuff, we did see something so adorable! Who else here likes small little critters like chipmunks or squirrels? I know I definitely do! Just look at the little thing! SO CUTE!!!

They had good music at the pool. The vibes were definitely there. So then our time at the pool was up sadly 😢. We headed back up to the cabins to change, shower, and get ready for dinner.

Dinner was spaghetti and meatballs. It was good. After dinner the campers did a star lab where they went inside this cool thing and talked about ✨stars✨.

After that very long day, we all begin to make it back to our cabins, the counselors and campers going separate ways to change and settle in for bed. Y’all when I say I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow, I mean it very seriously. In fact, every one was slumped. And that’s how our day went and ended! See you guys soon ‼️‼️
