Summer Camp

Location: Portola, CA
Our overnight Summer Camp is available for 6th–8th grade youth. We will be located at Sierra Nevada Journeys’ Grizzly Creek Ranch, which is in Portola, CA, just 45 minutes from Reno, NV, and two hours from Sacramento. This campsite is surrounded by magnificent vistas, valleys and meadows located in the Plumas National Forest. From their high ropes challenge course to the forest and river ecosystems, Grizzly Creek Ranch is breathtaking and the ideal location for exploring nature. The camp is fully ADA accessible. The cost for camp is $60 per child, and the registration fees are all-inclusive. You can learn more about camper qualifications below.
There is a $60 fee to register each camper, which is non-refundable. To qualify for Camp Phoenix, campers must meet certain household low-income requirements, and attend specific local schools. However, Camp Phoenix’s purpose is to bring overnight summer camp to all youth, regardless of who can afford it. Therefore, if you can’t pay the full $60 fee, please let us know and we will happily provide financial assistance. Our policy is that no camper is turned away due to finances.
